An atlas of six free browser games
lysraivrekviper.com is an independent guide to six free browser games on Poki. Each game is one plate: observed in play, then annotated with what happens on screen, what every key does, what to get right first and who it suits.
Nothing plays on this site. Every game opens on Poki.com.
Plates 1 to 6: the games in this atlas
One plate per game, in the order of the atlas. The colour of the label beside a name is its genre, and that colour means the same thing on every page.
Plate 1

Stickman Hook
Arcade
A stick figure swings from hook to hook on a rope; the whole level is one long, unbroken swing.

City Rider

Plate 3

Stick Rush
Action
A stick-figure shooter fought in waves: survive the arena, take the gold the enemies drop, spend it before the next wave.

Fish Eat Fish
Arcade
Eat the fish smaller than you, keep away from the bigger ones, and grow until the pond stops being dangerous.

Plate 5

Satisbox Mini Games

A box of very short tidying tasks: sort what is jumbled, fill what is empty, clear what is messy.

The cover artwork, pinned and labelled
The artwork each game carries on Poki. None of these are pictures of play, and none of them open a game.
Written up by an independent team
The plates are written up by the lysraivrekviper.com editorial team. We are not part of Poki and not part of any game studio. Nobody pays to be one of the six, and the links out carry no tracking.
Sorted by how long a sitting lasts
Three honest groups, based on how a session with each game actually ends.
Under five minutes
A round or a level, finished or lost, and you are out.

A proper sitting
Open-ended, or long enough that you will want to sit down for it.

Nothing to lose
No timer, no score, nothing to fail. Stop whenever.

The five genres that sort the plates
Every game belongs to exactly one genre, and it stays the same on every page. The label colour is the genre.
Arcade
Short attempts that end on one mistake and restart at once, where timing counts for more than planning.
Racing
Driving with a throttle, a brake and traffic to read, for as long as you care to keep going.
Action
Moving, aiming and surviving waves, then spending what you collected on the next one.
Puzzle
Sorting, fitting and tidying, with no clock in the corner and no run to lose.
Casual
Games with nothing to fail: you open them, do a little, and close them whenever you like.
Report an error on a plate
A key that has moved, a device list that is wrong, a question about privacy: write, and someone from the editorial team answers by email.

Are the games free?
Yes. All six are free to play on Poki.com, and this site sells nothing.
Can I play them here?
No. This site only describes the games. Each guide ends with a link to that game’s page on Poki, which opens in a new tab.
Do I have to install or sign up for anything?
No. Poki runs the games in the browser, and there are no accounts on this site.
What can I play them on?
Five of the six run on a computer, a phone or a tablet. City Rider is listed on Poki as computer only.
Who writes the guides?
The lysraivrekviper.com editorial team. Every guide is written after playing the game, and each page carries the date it was last checked.
Does this site collect data about me?
Only what the privacy policy describes. There is no sign-up, no newsletter and no form anywhere on the site.
I found a mistake. What now?
Write to the address on the contact page and say which guide and which line. The correction is made on the page and the check date is moved.
