How this atlas is made, and by whom

lysraivrekviper.com is a small editorial site about six free browser games. This page explains who writes it, how a game becomes a plate, and what we do when something here is wrong.

What the atlas covers

This site describes six games that are hosted on Poki.com. It does not host, run or sell games.

Each game has one plate: what happens on screen, what every control does, what to get right in the first few minutes, and who it suits. The set of six is fixed. It is not a feed, and it does not rotate.

Who draws up the plates

The notes are written and checked by the lysraivrekviper.com editorial team.

Nora Vikander, games editor.

Every guide carries that name next to the editorial team, so you can see who read the game and who checked the page. We do not publish invented biographies or stock photographs of a team.

Our method for drawing up a plate

Each game is played before anything is written about it.

We then check four things, in the same order, for all six: whether the rules are clear without instructions, whether the controls do what they look like they do, which devices it actually runs on, and whether a session fits the length the game implies. Anything we could not confirm by playing is left out rather than guessed.

What stays out of the atlas

We are independent of Poki and of every studio named on this site. No one pays to be one of the six, there are no affiliate links, and no link out carries a tracking code.

We do not publish player numbers, ratings, awards or reviews we cannot stand behind, and there are no invented statistics anywhere on the site.

Correcting a plate

Games change. A control moves, a mode disappears, a device drops off the list.

If you find something out of date or simply wrong, write to us and say which guide and which line. It is fixed on the page itself, not in a separate list, and the check date is moved.

How a game gets its plate

1

Play it first

No plate is drawn up from a description.

2

Check the same four things

Rules, controls, devices, session length, in that order, for all six.

3

Record only what we saw

If we could not confirm it by playing, it is not on the page.

4

Date every plate

Each guide carries the day it was last read against the game.
